Bridging Communities Through music
C’mon, partner up with Urban Voices Project (UVP) and Skid Row Artists on June 12th for the first ever downtown-wide musical jam through pop-up musical pods across neighborhood to neighborhood culminating at the inaugural Little Tokyo Healing Festival.
The C’mon, Sing! Festival takes Urban Voices Project’s artists, voices and songs beyond Skid Row to Downtown Neighborhoods so folks across the socio-economic spectrum, housed and unhoused, can together ignite the healing power of music in all of us. Neighbors passing by can engage in this interactive Open Mic musical jam street festival with community singing or songs of their choice, whether they are professional performers or experienced shower singers.
The C’mon Sing! Festival will be hosted by Broadway legend Ben Vereen and Skid Row feminist activist and UVP Choir member Linda Leigh.
